Acme Weather

Acme Weather costs nothing to download anywhere. The real cost sits inside the app: three in-app purchase products priced differently depending on which region your App Store account belongs to. No subscriptions, so nothing renews automatically and no free trial quietly converts into a recurring charge.

Why the region matters App Store pricing for in-app purchases follows local currency, local tax rules and local storefront rates. The same unlock that costs one amount in a US storefront can cost a different amount in a storefront elsewhere. With two tracked price regions showing different rates for these in-app purchases, the region your account is registered in decides what you actually pay. That gap is the only price difference on this app and the only place a saving exists.

What is included Acme Weather sits in the Weather category with a 4.02 rating from 289 reviews. Three distinct in-app purchase products are attached to the app, and none of them is a subscription. One-off purchases only: pay once, keep access, no timer, no billing cycle.

How to check before you pay

1. Open the in-app purchase list for Acme Weather in the App Store on your device.
2. Compare the listed price of its premium tier against the same listing in a storefront from the other tracked region.
3. If the other region is lower, switch your storefront before confirming, then switch back afterwards if you want your usual region restored.

Verdict The install price is identical in every tracked region, so any claim that this app downloads for less somewhere is wrong. The comparison worth doing is the in-app purchase price difference between the two tracked regions. Check that first, then tap buy.
